Pickaboo is located directly opposite the entrance to Ikarus beach by the port car park. It’s pretty unassuming from the outside but the food here is excellent and reasonably priced. On our first visit we had a hot dog and a crispy chicken burger. I wasn’t expecting much of the hotdog at €5.50 but it was quite large and came dressed with good toppings. My wife said it was really good. I had the chicken burger which had a lovely light crunch to it and was very tasty and well cooked. Fries that came with it were delicious. The following day I had the chicken bells. I wasn’t sure quite what to expect but they were large pieces of chicken coated in a sticky sweet and sour sauce and came with fries. The portion was generous and the chicken was absolutely beautiful, all at €8.50. This place is definitely worth a visit and the staff are really friendly. Very nice modern space with a particularly attractive interior design, overlooking the superb beach in the center of Rethymno! All day "EATERY" for coffee ( the best freddo espresso ever) breakfast, branch, lunch and dinner! Quality ingredients are transformed before your eyes, into wonderful, unique taste delights! Kids menu ! Savory pies, sweet pies, sandwiches, salads, delicious bergers and much more worth trying! Don't forget to ask the quick, kind and smiling staff to introduce you to the delicious desserts!
