I love the retro aesthetic of the place with the old school box letter menu and the arcade machines. The service was great however the actual pizza is where it felt short. I love pizza and supporting local businesses so hopefully I can provide some constructive criticism in order for them to improve in the future. I've been to the Pizza Box in Milpitas multiple times as a lifelong Milpitas resident. I have to say, I share a similar experience to many other reviewers. They claim to have kept the same recipe but they definitely changed the pepperoni, cheese, and possibly the dough and sauce as well from the previous owner, the mean, old, Asian lady. She made this iconic pizza with (I assume) hand cut pepperoni and a very unique melty cheese. This new cheese and pepperoni unfortunately tastes very bland, cheap, and generic. There's nothing unique or special about it. Something they can changed right away however is the dough being extremely undercooked. The pizza was very floppy and chewy. If you looked at the cross section from the side of the piece the dough is still very raw in the middle. The crust has barely risen from the cooking and the undercarriage is weak, lacking color, texture, and crunch. The layer of cheese added on top is too much. It's very thick and prevents the dough from cooking properly. I believe the oven needs to be at a much hotter Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I really wanted to love it. The service was great, very friendly. The pizza, the wings, the knots, all tasted terrible. The dough was so soggy, everything was burnt, and it all had a nasty after-taste. I'm not sure what the aftertaste is, but maybe it's their oven or something that's not clean. And the knots didn't taste like anything, no garlic and no cheese. Just soggy dough that was burnt on the bottom. Im disappointed I spent my money here. I was really hoping that we can start coming here more often. I'm hoping they figure out whatever is going on, close, and reopen with a better approach. And of course, there's nowhere to sit. It is just a pick-up and go place, but they could try to clean it a bit and knock off all the dust off the ceiling and around. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1
