We had a brilliant experience dining at Pizza Express in the Manchester Corn Exchange before heading to a show at the nearby AO Arena. The location itself inside the historic building is beautiful, bright, and clean with a great open kitchen concept where you can watch the pizzaiolos at work. The service was incredibly quick and attentive which is exactly what we needed on a busy evening. We ordered the iconic baked dough balls with garlic butter to start, followed by the thin and crispy Romana Pollo Forza pizza and a classic Margherita, both of which were cooked to absolute perfection with fresh ingredients and the right amount of spice kick. As of May 2026, the menu has fantastic value options like the ten pound power lunch and their PizzaExpress Club rewards are definitely worth downloading the app for to save money. Prices for mains range around fourteen to eighteen pounds which is very reasonable for the quality and city center location. It is also highly family friendly and accommodates dietary requirements excellently with plenty of vegan and gluten free choices. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or pre theater meal. Highly recommend this specific branch for anyone looking for consistent quality and excellent hospitality in the cathedral quarter area.
