Were at the Hotel Al Ponte for the first time, but certainly not the last time. A really great hotel that is currently (May 2024) still undergoing a bit of renovation work, but that's not a problem - there are still a lot of little things to be done. But you can already see what it will be like when everything is finished - and you can already have a wonderful holiday there. We only stayed at Al Ponte for 2 nights and had a room with breakfast and everything was fine. Arrival shortly after midday, rooms were already ready, quick, smooth check-in! Then the boss personally looked at the parking lot with us so that we could get a good spot - so service was excellent from the first minute. We had a newer room (at least we think so, because it looked new from the furniture to the bed and the balcony - it was definitely freshly painted too) and we felt very comfortable there. In this short time we weren't able to explore or use everything in the hotel, such as the bike rental - but the bikes were there. Breakfast was simply great! You can also have breakfast outdoors if the weather permits. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful and the boss of course beats everything with her friendly, familiar manner - always there when you need something! We couldn't have made a better choice for our short stay and will definitely come back - just to see what the hotel looks like when it's completely renovated! Rooms: We saw/had 2 rooms and both were newly renovated and very clean. Functionally furnished, television (also German channels), refrigerator, safe, large bathroom with a very well-functioning shower (also seen differently in Italy). Walkability: The hotel is very centrally located, a cross street behind the pedestrian zone. We only had breakfast because we wanted to go to a certain restaurant for dinner in the evening and this, as well as other well-known restaurants in Lignano, can be reached very quickly on foot - just a few hundred meters! It's just one more cross street to the beach, so it's no distance, you can get to the beach really quickly. Food & drinks: We only had a room with breakfast, but the breakfast was excellent. We didn't miss anything! If something was out or about to run out, something new was immediately brought or refilled. The quality of the sausage and ham was very good, we noticed that straight away. There were "normal" eggs - hard or soft, depending on your preference, egg dishes (scrambled eggs), fried eggs, ham (also fried), cheese, salami, various desserts filled with jam, cream or chocolate, fruit, vegetables, muesli,... .. I can't even list everything because I'm sure I'll forget something. All in all we were thrilled - price/performance definitely fits! Noteworthy details: The hotel has been renovated or is currently being renovated (May 2024). There's now an elevator (we've read in other reviews that an elevator would be desirable, so we'll assume that's new)! Top service from all employees and of course the boss herself!
