I couldn't decide on what to have for lunch, Dean said leave it to me. Best decision I could have made. Absolutely stunning! flavourful, generous serving and wonderful hospitality. Playfish... what gem to have in our city. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a fantastic way to start the day! I ordered ‘I’m just here for the food’ from the menu and told the chef what i did not want for breakfast. I was absolutely surprised with the chef’s creation. He made something I had never tasted before and had not at all expected. The only word that came to mind was ‘WOW’. The coffee was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A special mention to the owner, who is also the chef, he was lovely and took the time to have a little chat with us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel the passion and care that goes into the food and service. A beautiful place with amazing hospitality. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Devonport. Highly recommend! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Egg Bene and the Egg & Bacon burger were absolutely outstanding. The egg bene was beautifully executed — perfectly poached eggs with a rich, velvety hollandaise sauce, balanced by juicy bacon and fresh greens. Every bite felt refined yet comforting. The egg & bacon burger was hearty and indulgent, stacked with bacon, melted cheddar, and a fried egg that tied everything together. The sauce added just the right punch, making it a true comfort-food winner. Compliments to the chef for the attention to detail and the balance of flavors — you can tell real care went into these dishes. Both plates were not only delicious but also visually appealing, making the experience memorable from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying brunch spot!
