We called in for Sunday lunch after finding the Plough Inn on Google maps - we were driving though and wanted to stop somewhere for Sunday lunch. Friendly welcome and service and delicious Sunday lunch! Thank you! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our bartender/waiter was the best! As an American visiting the Cotswolds area, I’m always searching for places that locals actually go—not crowded tourist traps. The Plough Inn was exactly what I was hoping to find. My husband and I both ordered the ribeye steak, which was cooked beautifully and served with some of the best homemade chips (yes, I called them French fries), a lovely little frisée salad, vegetables, and a green peppercorn sauce that was absolutely delicious. My mother-in-law ordered the fish pie and said she’d never had one with so much fish in it. High praise from an Englishwoman! The service was equally wonderful. Our waiter/bartender noticed I was a bit chilly, turned on the radiator to keep me warm, and kept calling me “Love,” which I thought was absolutely charming. As a visitor from California, that’s one of my favorite British traditions. The Guinness was quite good too. Definitely not Ireland, but about as close as you’re going to get in the English countryside. Warm hospitality, excellent food, and a charming setting away from the crowds. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m visiting the Cotswolds and looking to escape the tourists despite being one myself. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Forst time here. Met with two friends for lunch today and my dog. Lovely welcome for us all including biscuits for the dog! Nice, welcoming atmosphere. Delicious food! Hot, presented well and really flavoursome. Great variety on offer, but all cooked from scratch. Thank you so much x Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes
