I recently purchased the “Gluten Free Blueberry Muffin,” and I was extremely concerned to see that the ingredient label lists “enriched flour bleached (wheat flour)” as the first ingredient and also states “contains: egg, wheat.” As someone with celiac disease/gluten intolerance, this labeling is misleading and potentially dangerous. Under FDA gluten-free labeling regulations, foods labeled “gluten free” cannot contain wheat unless the ingredient has been specifically processed to remove gluten and the final product contains less than 20 ppm gluten. The packaging does not indicate that this is specially processed wheat starch or otherwise clarify compliance with FDA requirements. Advertising a product as “gluten free” while listing wheat flour as the primary ingredient creates a serious health risk for consumers who rely on accurate allergen and gluten labeling. Hi Alexis! We are so sorry for the confusion and completely understand your concern. This was unfortunately a labeling mishap on our end that we were unaware of until it was brought to our attention. We want to assure you that the muffin itself was absolutely gluten free and prepared separately with our designated gluten free ingredients and procedures. That said, we take labeling accuracy extremely seriously, especially when it comes to allergies and dietary restrictions, and we sincerely apologize for the stress and concern this caused. These cookies *Deserve* a review. We heard great things about the baked goods at Pop’s and bought of couple of boxes for Valentine’s Dayand oh my lordthey were some of the best cookies we’ve had, truly! Our favorites were the classic chocolate chip and double chocolate chip — followed very closely by the strawberry Nutella. Fair warning: each cookie is a meal in and of itself, and warrants its own tall glass of milk If we lived any closer, Pop’s Corner would be a dangerous place indeed. It’s already our go-to whenever we are in a 15-mile radius. We even had a box shipped to DC! Can’t recommend them enough. These cookie are, in a word, heaven. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

(RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE TO OUR REVIEW: Your place was most certainly left unattended. We and another family, waited a very long time in your store with no one in it, wondering if we should just leave! Oh, and, the "beautiful day outside?" It was 95 degrees, and very uncomfortable. Your callous and disingenuous attempt to "spin" the truth is just more reason to never visit or patronize your store, again. In fact, that day, we did decide to leave, and went to a lovely restaurant up the block. I guess location ISN'T everything!) Never let a kid run a place... regardless of to whom they may be related. Poor service, poor attention, poor customer service, totally lacking in customers' interest, no idea what they're doing, leaving the entire place completely unattended, forcing customers to sit outside in 90 degree heat, while the air conditioned interior deemed off limits. Oh, allow us to add - no common sense. Contrary to this clearly clueless and uniformed owner, it was unattended, and we were told we had to sit outside and it wasn't beautiful - it was extremely hot. So there you have it. An oblivious owner spewing out anything to contradict tue actual experience of customers. Don't waste your time here. There are friendlier, and more thoughtful, and considerate places. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Other
