If you want a traditional, warm inviting pub then this is the place. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to after an evening here. Staff are lovely and the vibe feels really at home, there's a feeling that even if it's your first time there it feels like somewhere you've always known. It feels like your "local" after the first visit. Really friendly staff, highly recommend for a drink, food or even a bingo night Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We as a football team go in there every Sunday and spend a decent amount. We rocked up today and was rudely greeted by the bar lady who is always in there. They made us show ID just to go inside. We stated that we had come in here every week to which she replied rudely and swore at us multiple times. If truth be told it’s outdated and expensive for what it is with awful food. Not to mention the smell of cigarettes inside the pub, people had clearly been smoking in there. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Charming local pub that really leans into looking traditional, which is rare these days and lovely to see and gives you plenty to look at. Have visited for a local board games group on a Wednesday as well as a couple of their events and had a nice time every visit. Have tried the bar food which was lovely. Their outside seating is excellent in the summer and they do a lovely Christmas display. No pub is perfect and everyone's experience can be different on the visit, but The Prettygate does its version well and is well worth a visit. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
