So “rooftop” is very misleading. This was only on the 2nd floor with no view of the city. But other than that, the drinks were very delicious and super flavorful! I recommend the thirst trap, just tasted like watermelon couldn’t taste the alcohol. Which was a plus for someone like me who doesn’t like the taste of alcohol. The pizza was good and very cheesy. Like so cheesy! Also my friend had to go inside twice to get our server to help us. Which I would understand if they were busy. My friend said one of the times she went inside the server was just standing at the bar talking. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Good bar with a stylish, relaxed atmosphere and a more polished feel than a basic neighborhood spot. It seems like a nice place for drinks, cocktails, casual conversation, or a night out with friends. Quail State really oversold itself online and under-delivered in person. I came here excited to check out the rooftop since Quail State advertises itself as Fresno’s only rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed for a private event that wasn’t listed anywhere on their Google account. Inside was uncomfortably hot—no proper AC, just swamp coolers. The bartender seemed rushed, and the drinks were mediocre at best. For $17 a drink, I expected much better quality and larger portions. Definitely not worth the hype. Separate Note on Service: When I asked the bartender what drink he recommends or what his best drink is, he seemed annoyed by the question. His reaction actually made me feel uncomfortable enough that I decided to leave. He did say he was sorry once he realized I noticed his anger, but the experience had already been soured. For a bar that advertises itself as a top spot, that kind of service was really disappointing. Price per person: $20–30 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
