My daughter was playing football nearby so I popped in to look at a menu while my husband kept the car running outside. I was in the pub 6 minutes and received a parking fine for exceeding the time limit by one minute. We didn’t actually see the signs as did not pull in a space. I popped in after receiving the fine and was told they would quash the fine. They did not as I received another letter. So I popped in again to be told it was at the parking companies discretion!! So I have just had to pay £170 fine for overstaying by one minute, a fine way to treat prospective customers. I don’t understand why any business would pass over their car park to sharks and treat customers so poorly. Outraged, won’t ever eat and drink there now and will tell everyone I know how rubbish they have been. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience Emma, and we are genuinely sorry for the frustration this situation has caused. We completely understand how upsetting it must be to receive a fine, especially when you were only on the premises for a few minutes. Unfortunately, the car park is managed independently by ParkingEye, and we do not have control over their system or the outcome of their appeals. While we always try to support our guests by submitting cancellation requests on their behalf, the final decision is solely at the discretion of the parking company. We are truly sorry that this was not resolved in your favour. This is absolutely not the experience we want for anyone visiting us, and we understand your disappointment.
