As a customer, it was upsetting to see the store manager treating employees with disrespect. No one deserves to be spoken to in a rude or demeaning way while doing their job. A positive workplace starts with good leadership, and unfortunately, that was not the impression I got during my visit.

Appalling treatment of customers. This store needs to get rid of its self-checkout stations so that employees stop forcing decent shoppers to endure humiliation—being filmed on camera while staff members rummage through your purchases and bags, counting every item. I was a regular customer at this store, spending $200–$300 on groceries every single time I visited. Today (4/07/2026) at 8:45 PM, an employee apparently suspected that I was trying to steal something or had failed to scan an item at the register; she then proceeded to ostentatiously recount my purchases, pulling everything out of my bags (the very reason I use self-checkout is so I can pack my groceries exactly the way I want them). To top it off, she rudely asked, "Do you want me to put everything back in for you?" Good God—of course not. I won't be coming back to this store ever again. It’s a shame that I was in a rush and absolutely needed to buy these groceries tonight, forcing me to endure such humiliation. To the store management: if you are so paranoid that your respectable customers are going to steal from you, then just close the self-checkout lanes—don't humiliate your loyal buyers. This is, without a doubt, the most disgusting Ralphs store I have ever visited.
