I had a disappointing experience picking up an Uber Eats order from R&K Caffe today. When i arrived , i showed the pickup name to the lady behind the counter around 12:00pm today and asked if I could quickly use the toilet, but I was told it was for customers only. As an Uber Eats driver helping deliver food for the business, I believe drivers should still be treated with basic respect. When I received the order, the coffee was handed separately without a bag, which could easily spill in the car during delivery. I politely asked if it could be placed in a bag, but the staff member became visibly annoyed and responded unprofessionally, even mentioning giving me a thumbs down on Uber. As a result someone can loose their job with bad ratings. I always try to stay respectful and professional during pickups, so the attitude and treatment I received were disappointing. I hope management improves the way delivery drivers are treated in the future. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Stopped in at R&K Café in Bittern while waiting to watch the kids play in the Winter Lightning Premiership — and to sneak in a bit of real estate work at the same time — and what a perfect little spot it turned out to be! The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming, with genuinely friendly staff who made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. It’s the kind of place where you can breathe out, recharge, and just enjoy the moment. The coffee was spot on, and the food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Even though I was on my own, it was the ideal space to get some work done while still feeling connected to the vibe around me. There was no sense of being rushed, and plenty of thoughtful touches that made the experience stand out—from the calm ambiance to the attention to detail in both service and presentation. Highly recommend R&K Café for anyone in the area—whether you’re looking for a solo work spot, a great coffee, or just some downtime in a friendly and uplifting environment. I’ll definitely be back!
