Usually go to the Greenville SC location but I was in clemson so went in for lunch. Waited 6 minutes for server even though there were only 2 tables sat. lunch sushi special was $12.95. ($9.95 in the Greenville location) but i ordered it. I asked could i substitute a spring roll instead of a soup or salad and the server said sure so I confirmed "instead of " and she said yes and never mentioned any upcharge got the bill and it was $13.95 when i asked why she said because of the spring roll. She would not remove it. So 9.95 in Greenville was 13.95 at clemson. Never going there again due to gouging and deceptive servers. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I come to Clemson once a month for work and tend to go to Rick Erwin's steakhouse- it's reliable and delicious. And a bit pricy. This trip I was really feeling Asian and -leery as I am about college town sushi- I stopped in to Red Bowl. Truly not sure, I ordered a single nigiri salmon and a nigiri yellowtail just to see what I was working with. Generously sliced and delicious - I stayed and ordered more sushi and some pot stickers and got an order of Singapore noodles to go. All was delicious. Chilli paste with the potstickers was recommended by my server and really kicked the heat up pleasantly. Granted this was a Tuesday night, but service was lightning fast and all of the sushi came out within 2 minutes of ordering. My server Riley was that perfect attentive-but-not- bothersome mix of checking on me but not interrupting me mid bite. Wonderful experience all in all, I will be back. Stop by the Red Bowl Asian Bistro for dinner. A large capacity restaurant with ample seating, friendly staff and delicious food. For our visit, there were not too many seated patrons, but they were doing a brisk take out business. This could, however, be due to the early nature of our dinner, which was 5 PM. Our waiter was Samy and he was very good. Very attentive, checking back frequently and making sure our drinks were full. In addition, he was able to accommodate our meal request. For our meal, we started with a cucumber roll. It was excellent. Our entrées were black pepper chicken, Hunan beef (we had them substitute beef for chicken) and chicken fried rice. All were large portions, so much so, we have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. I will mention, that unlike some Asian restaurants I go to, the dishes were not over salted which is fantastic. Additionally, the menu is extensive and has lots of options for vegetarians and gluten-free. So great food and great service. A winning combination. We will be back again.
