Awful place. Visited on a hot summer's Saturday evening From the outside it looks run down and uninviting. It opens a 6 even on a Saturday Doors were closed and upon entering you are hit by the heat inside and a most ungracious dog who was snapping and snarling at ours from behind what looks like a small metal garden gate in the bar access. 2 ladies behind the bar, 1 whose social skills were somewhat lacking and the other, although polite, couldn't pour a pint properly. Asking if there was a garden area to sit in, the reply was yes, but I'll have to go out there and open it up !! We opted for the bench in the carpark out front. Not a pleasant experience. So it was 1 drink and go. Shame as it was a lovely day weather-wise and we were on a short break away so would have spent the evening there chatting with the locals....but there were none of them there either. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Dietary restrictions: No food on offer

Outside is shabby, but inside has a lot of character and nice to have a chat with the locals. Don't let the exterior fool you, it is open and worth going in. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
