I went with a friend to have lunch yesterday. I wasn't very hungry but it's a nice place to meet. I only ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque. It looked just a bit separated but smelled okay, so I ate it all. I woke up this morning sick as a dog with explosive diarrhea and extremely bad nausea. I know it had to be the Lobster Bisque because I ate nothing else all day. I drank only water. I have had food poisoning before and I know what it feels like. I also know that food poisoning usually is evident sooner but a medication that I take slows the digestive system down a lot, so that explains it. I phoned the East Madison restaurant and a young man said he'd connect me with a manager but the call got disconnected on the Red Lobster end. I called back and what sounded like the same guy said this time that he was the manager "Zak?" So I told him about the incident and suggested that the kitchen staff should pull any remaining product just to be safe. I really felt that this "Zak" wasn't a manager although he was pleasant enough. I just feel like it was an employee who wanted to make a potential problem or worse just go away. Can anyone address this with me? It's an unfortunate circumstance that sadly left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'll start by saying my waiter Ashton was extremely nice, soft spoken & very attentive. The food was ok not bad but the crab legs could've been cooked better, everything else was good. Now when I was ready to leave I asked Ashton if I could go out the rear door of the building because it opened up right to the rear of the parking lot I parked in. I'm a truck driver and had a bobtail I was driving so I had to park in the rear and my left knee has been hurting so I toughed it out to go inside the front door when I got there but asked if a manager could let me out the rear door so my walk to my truck was significantly shorter. He came back and said his manager Ashley I think her name was said no she can't because its a slip & fall liability, if I were to slip on the concrete they could be held liable, which I will add the concrete is rougher than the tile floors they have throughout the restaurant and there is a handrail on both sides starting from the door all the way to the parking lot, so her theory on the slip & fall liability I say is BS, she just didn't want to take 2 minutes to help a customer that explained I had a bad knee & my walk from that back door puts me less than 1,000 feet from my truck. Instead I had to walk out the front doors around to the left, then another left walk the entire length of the building then walk over to my truck. I was in alot of pain by the time I got to my truck. Thank you Miss Manager. I will also add that if there was any area where a slip & fall liability would be present it would definitely be walking out the front doors where there isn't a hand rail or anything to hold onto and the concrete is the exact same in the front as the ramp out the back door with handrails on both sides! It was not raining, it wasn't wet outside it was very dry, there was no risk of me slipping on anything outside that door or down the ramp! I even took a picture to show the back door, with handrails on both sides, very dry concrete & no imminent danger of anything that anyone could slip & fall on unless I got 2 left feet & trip over my own dang feet! So the reason I gave 2 stars was directly to the Manager because of her lame excuse on why she wouldn't let me out the back door. I want to say that my waiter ASHTON should get 5 stars and he would make a great MANAGER because he cares & has empathy for people. See pictures below. I've been to many, many restaurants in my travels & if there is a door leading to the back or close I've never been told no, if there is an alarm the Manager can simply open with a key or temporarily disarm the alarm. After seeing the outside back door, the ramp & handrails on both sides I really thought this manager just didn't want to be bothered or take the time to open the door & let me out. Price per person: $100+

We met family for my wife's birthday. She wanted lobster and this Red Lobster has been a tradition over the years for her birthday. We were not disappointed. Everyone had a different lobster meal and they were all very good. Yes, they were not low cost, but again very good. The special cocktails were good too, something different. One was a smokey Old Fashioned. It was different and very good. The service was excellent. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. Just what we like. Because we have been going here since I think they opened, the atmosphere is getting a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The booth we were in had plenty of room for the four of us. The Cajun boil dish I had was really amazing with lobster, shrimp, andouille sausage, corn, red potatoes in a spicy butter cajun sauce! It reminded me of Louisiana! Overall we were very well pleased. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
