1 star -only because zero stars isn’t an option. I have given the Red Rooster Alphington branch four chances over the past two years, and every visit has somehow been worse than the last. The staff regularly seem disengaged, there is little to no friendly greeting, and even the simplest order needs to be repeated several times. Most importantly, the food has repeatedly been cold and unpleasant. Today was the final straw. I clearly ordered a Flayva Wrap, regular chips and a bottle of water. There was only one other car, so this was hardly the lunch-hour Olympics. I was charged $21.25, drove home and discovered I had been given something completely different. Instead of chips and water, I received mashed potato and gravy, a chicken drumstick that smelled so bad I could not get past the first bite, and a cold chicken wrap with the wrong sauce. Parts of the chicken inside the wrap appeared undercooked and were cold to the touch, so it went straight into the bin. At this point, ordering from this branch feels less like buying lunch and more like participating in a mystery-box challenge where every prize is disappointment. The only thing consistently delivered correctly is regret. Four chances over two years is more than fair. Red Rooster Alphington has officially run out of second chances. This branch desperately needs new management, proper staff training, basic quality control and someone in the kitchen who understands that chicken is supposed to be cooked and food is supposed to be warm. If that was chicken, potato and gravy, then I’m Colonel Sanders, because none of it looked, smelled or tasted remotely like food Never again!

Desperate, clearly, to be ordering from here. Can recommend only to anyone desiring to know exactly how far we've strayed from god. Honestly shocked that this is legally regarded as food. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 1

I regret to say that my visit to Red Rooster Fairfield was a regrettable ordeal from start to finish. The customer service was an absolute nightmare. The staff, seemingly comprised of inexperienced teenagers, were clumsy and careless, constantly dropping trays in the back with loud and discomforting banging noises while raising their voices too much. It was impossible to enjoy a meal in such a chaotic and unprofessional environment. The Chips seem like they were sitting in that tray for ages, and the burger was a sloppy pile of gunk not worthy for human consumption. The potato and gravy was particularly offensive, tasting like something that was made exclusively for the third world country during war time and belonged nowhere near a dining table. One taste and I had to insist on returning it for another to be completely fair and unbiased. But the exact same result. The second one was exactly the same nightmare I was hoping was a mistake. One taste and I nearly threw up and quickly had to discard it. I would strongly advise against anyone wasting their time or money at this establishment.
