I had a fantastic meal at Red Tea Cafe (紅冰室) recently. If you are looking for an authentic Hong Kong-style experience, this place hits all the right notes. Their milk tea is excellent—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. But the real star of the show has to be the pineapple bun. It arrived piping hot with a perfectly crispy, golden top and a generous slab of butter that melted just right. It’s honestly the best I’ve had in a long time! The atmosphere is great, and the service was quick. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving a high-quality local snack. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: HK$50–100

#toast 631 — you have to try cha chaan teng food if it is your first time in Hong Kong and the best way to do it is trying Hong Kong french toast. It is a deep-fried “sandwich” usually filled with usually peanut butter or something experimental (if it is a more adventurous/ experimental/ modern adaption) like pandan, custard and even chocolate. here at red tea, they do a special one with cheese. if you’re too afraid of stepping foot into more iconic cha chaan tengs like Australian dairy company (in fears of being rushed out or facing attitude), then red tea is a much more friendly option to experience local cha chaan teng food.
