It was a weekday Thursday around 1:40pm when my friend and I met at this restaurant for lunch. I wanted to treat her, so we chose this place together. When we arrived, we were seated at a bar counter right by the entrance. Unfortunately, both of us have back problems, and I am also pregnant, so sitting on chairs without back support was quite uncomfortable for us. We didn’t want to trouble the staff, but we still asked politely if it was possible to move to one of the tables inside with chairs that had backs. At first, a female staff member said no, but another very kind male staff member said he would try to help us, which we really appreciated. We looked through the menu and both decided to order the カジュアルコース（全4品）(Casual Course, 4 dishes). Because I’m pregnant, I asked whether the カジキマグロの燻製 (Smoked Swordfish) was only smoked or fully cooked. The waiter explained that it was cooked first and then smoked. I also requested that my pork main dish be well done. About ten minutes later, our starter arrived. It was 豆乳と湯葉のムース和からしエスプーマ (Soymilk and Yuba Mousse with Japanese Mustard Espuma). The dish was beautifully presented and very white. When I took my first spoonful, the texture surprised me in a very pleasant way. The bottom layer was tofu-like but much lighter and fluffier, while the top espuma was creamy but not sweet at all. Combined with the dashi, it was full of flavor without being overpowering. It was refreshing, well balanced, and I really loved it. We were then moved to a table inside, which was much more comfortable for our backs, and we truly appreciated the effort. About fifteen minutes after finishing the starter, our entrée arrived. It was カジキマグロの燻製生野菜サラダ (Smoked Swordfish with Fresh Vegetable Salad), served with two pieces of bread. The salad tasted fresh and nice, although personally I would have liked a larger portion of vegetables. The smoked swordfish was soft and pleasant in flavor. After another ten-minute wait, the soup arrived. It was カボチャのポタージュ (Pumpkin Potage). It was rich, creamy, and full of pumpkin flavor. About fifteen minutes after finishing the soup, the main dish finally arrived. It was 和豚もちぶたのローストロメスコソース (Roasted WATON Mochibuta Pork with Romesco Sauce). The plate came with one piece of pork, a separate piece of fat which I wasn’t interested in, one vegetable, two small pieces of potatoes, and sauce on the side. The pork was soft and juicy, not tough or chewy, though slightly too salty. Unfortunately, halfway through my portion, I realized the pork was not fully cooked and was still a bit bloody in the center. I asked the staff if it was possible to cook it a bit longer for me. They were polite and replaced it with a newly cooked portion of a similar size, although I had to wait another fifteen minutes. This time, the pork was properly cooked. The potatoes, however, were not very good. I was surprised to find that the bread was not good at all. It was very chewy and had almost no flavor. It was even difficult to tear apart. This was honestly the first time I’ve experienced such disappointing bread at a Western-style restaurant. Since I still needed some carbohydrates, I asked for balsamic vinegar and olive oil, but unfortunately they only had olive oil. I don’t drink coffee or tea, so I ordered a cup of hot water with lemon. I was a bit surprised that it came with only one very thin slice of lemon. At around 2:31pm, my hot water with lemon finally arrived, and I still hadn’t finished my bread. At that point, the staff began preparing to close and asked us to pay and leave. It felt quite uncomfortable, especially because most of our time there had been spent waiting for food, and once closing time came, we were rushed out. Overall, the food here is generally good, the atmosphere is pleasant, and it can be a nice place to enjoy lunch with friends. However, I would strongly recommend making a reservation in advance and coming earlier, as the cooking pace is quite slow and you may feel rushed if you arrive too close to closing time. A shop that I sometimes visit for lunch. First time in a while. After the meal, I ordered an ice stay without ice, which I usually don't order because I had been drinking coffee that morning. My friend had regular iced tea. When it was brought after lunch, huh? My friend's iced tea is a long and narrow glass. Same as everyone else at the table. I have no ice in my wine glass, and the tip of the straw in the glass is slightly bent. Since there is no ice, a normal glass will not be enough, so I decided to use a wine glass. Moreover, since the glass is tall, consideration was given to bending the straw. Way to go! ! ! resonance. It's a bit of a concern to be able to do this kind of consideration during a busy lunch, but it was the moment when I felt the splendor of the store. I applaud those who actually used their wit.
