Absolutely great meal and lovely experience from Reunion barbecue. My SO and I (and our dog) came for dinner on a Friday night on our way into the driftless region for a couple days of relaxation and seclusion. The brisket was an absolute 10 out of 10 – Incredible flavor and texture. The ribs are also very, very good. I love vinegar so this Carolina barbecue style was right at my alley! Do not sleep on the lima beans- definitely an underrepresented side dish. Oh! The Caesar salad with Housemade dressing it was beautiful. The staff was youthful, energetic, and extremely welcoming. Not pictured- my dog drooling with every bite we took, and the absolutely perfect Keylime pie. Crème brûlée was something really special as well. Cocktails were well thought out and tasty. Coming from Chicago, this place was incredibly reasonably priced. Will absolutely recommend to others and we can’t wait to come back-we’re already planning our next trip to see some Incredible Shakespeare at the American Players Theatre amphitheater and check out Frank Lloyd Wright gems. Great experience at Reunion Family BBQ! I ordered a half chicken, collards, fried potato salad, a house Negroni and passion fruit margarita. They did a great job making the old bank look like a warm and welcoming eatery with a unique allure. The staff was attentive and friendly. They were also genuinely excited about the menu offerings and the ownership. The food was great. Collards had deep flavor, you could tell the owners spent time in The South. The fried potato salad was a unique and great twist on a Midwest classic. And the bird was tender and juicy. Prices were also very reasonable, especially when they’re paired with local meats and a nice atmosphere. Worth the drive from Madison. Looking forward to my next visit.
