This was our first time visiting Ricky J’s Restaurant & Bar. We sat in the lounge/restaurant area, and it seemed like they may have been a little shorthanded that night, so the service was okay and a bit slower than expected. One thing we noticed right away was that our table and seating area could have been cleaner. The bench had quite a few food crumbs left on it, which wasn’t the best first impression. For food, we ordered the turkey club and potato skins. The turkey club was okay, but unfortunately, the potato skins were really disappointing. The potatoes were extremely hard and had an almost raw-potato texture, which made them difficult to eat. We brought it to our server’s attention, and she was nice and understanding about it and removed them from our bill, which we appreciated. Overall, the experience just wasn’t what we were hoping for on our first visit. Between the cleanliness of the seating area, the service being just okay, and the issue with the potato skins, I don’t think we’ll be coming back. tried the french dip. beef was so gristly you could not chew it. worst french dip ive ever had. ajus was cold. waitress was almost non existent. suprised because i have heard good things about the food and service. will not waste my money there in the future.
