I wrote a review and management literally contradicted everything I said without any apology or remorse. So, if you want to be dismissed, disappointed, dissatisfied then dis is the place for you. I must have made up all my previous comments. Maybe I was in the twilight zone? We were served water when we were seated by the one staff member, the chef could not locate the "other" person. We left because we were shivering, maybe they need to check their heaters? Still won't be back. Too hard to get to anyway on all those narrow dirt roads - my poor Mercedes! See you tomorrow following an expected not so contrite response.

Went to their restaurant which is apparently fine dining. There was a table of sixteen (a function of some sort) and another table of four. We were two and the place was otherwise empty. We were seated in the enclosed verandah, it was freezing!!! Asked for the heaters to be turned on - no joy! One waitress - no service. Not even a drink. WE WALKED OUT - RIDGEVIEW STUFFED UP OUR SATURDAY NIGHT IN THE HUNTER - thank you. Avoid at all costs. Service: 1

Firstly, I would like to clarify that RidgeView is not a fine-dining restaurant, but rather an upscale casual dining experience. We aim to provide our guests with quality food, wine and service in a relaxed environment. I noted that you arrived on time for your reservation but unfortunately left within approximately 10 minutes. I have since spoken with the team and reviewed what occurred that evening. We did have a large group in the restaurant and two service staff working. After explaining the menu to you, our team advised that they would be back shortly. Before they had even finished taking the order at another table, which was less than 10 minutes later, you had decided to leave. We pride ourselves on not rushing our guests and giving everyone the opportunity to relax and enjoy their time at RidgeView. We are sorry that you did not give us the opportunity to provide you with the experience we strive for. In regard to the temperature, the heaters were on that evening, and the team were adjusting the temperature in an effort to make you more comfortable. We acknowledge that Saturday night was particularly cold and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are always happy to review our service and take comments on board. We wish you all the best and hope you have a more enjoyable dining experience in the future.

Absolutely phenomenal - if I could give 100 stars, I would. Firstly, the view was beyond spectacular and scenic, giving more than you asked for. Through this beautiful view, we saw plenty of kangaroos as well as the gorgeous setting with a view of a mini lake and the beautiful vineyard. Secondly, the service was absolutely incredible. As we had a small wait before our orders being taken, one of the wine experts shouted as one of the two starter breads we ordered - completely removing it from our final tab. Thirdly, the food. The food was highly delectable and delicious with generous portions and attention to detail in presentation and local ingredients used from the garden within the vineyard. We also ordered the Ridgeview's own rosé and chardonnay which was absolutely superb - we even ordered a bottle to take with us. Overall, this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. It felt like a paradise with the best friendly service, succulent and mouthwatering food and panoramic, vast views at a beautifully decorated setting that you could not ask for better. HIGHLY recommend this place for their reasonable prices and excellent service, and a quieter setting away from the main areas of Hunter Valley. Thank you for an amazing unforgettable experience.
