We celebrated our anniversary at Rigetsu Dining in Bukit Mertajam, and it truly exceeded our expectations. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last. Chef Ah Chen and his team, together with Jason and Suresh, made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout the entire evening. Small gestures like refilling our glasses and even holding the door when we stepped away made the experience very comfortable and pleasant. The attention to detail in every dish was impressive. I’m usually not a sashimi eater, but the sashimi here was incredibly fresh with clean cuts and no unpleasant smell at all. The uni portion was generous, and pairing it with seaweed was amazing. My husband and I also absolutely loved the Kansai-style unagi — perfectly chargrilled and seasoned with sansho, which gave a surprise sensation. Unlike many unagi we’ve had before, this one had great texture and flavor, which completely changed our perception of unagi dish. We ended the happy night with Japanese fresh fruits and a miso crème brûlée, which had a lovely balance of slight sweetness, saltiness from the miso flavoured egg custard, and a refreshing hint of Japanese yuzu. (my favourite dessert now) The food, service, atmosphere, and interior were all wonderful. There was never a dull moment throughout the evening. We’re so glad we chose Rigetsu to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommended to couples, friends and family gathering that would enjoy high tier Japanese dining experience! Had a nice omakase experience here. The food was delicious and very fresh, and the quality of the ingredients stood out. Worth trying. All the Chef & staffs are friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A pleasant experience with good food, attentive service and relaxing ambience. All the dish are well balance and the sashimi are fresh and nicely cut. It is a wonderful experience and definitely will revisit again Price per person: RM 180–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
