Cute place!! Amazing Staff especially Ella. Made us feel super comfy and welcome. I ordered the Katsu Chicken sandwich which was nice but not really my preference.(which is why the 3 stars for food) Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Wonderful brunch at Rise last Sunday. We were seated relatively quickly after a very short wait. Served by Oliver (a fellow midlander ) who was amazing. Super friendly and upbeat. Just matched the vibe! The brunch was truly delicious. Our party went for mushroom shawarma, sticky toffee french toast and all rise accompanied by the potato hash which was all absolutely beautiful. Best brunch we’ve had in Liverpool. Can’t wait to come back!! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Rise used to be my favourite place to grab a coffee, I especially love the different drinks they offer and always tried the specials that were on and even partook in the valentines coffee/ flowers event. However, in the past month I have seen a huge decline in customer service at Rise. Firstly, in the York branch I was greeted and asked what table I would prefer, I stated the one in the window, the worker then said oh hang on a minute, I need to check if this group outside might want to come in first. She then proceeded to leave us there for a few minutes while she asked if the group who were simply walking by were coming in, then sat them on the table I requested and proceeded to move us onto the large table in the middle, which is not ideal for 2 people. One of the male workers noticed & apologised when I ordered. Regarding the Liverpool branch, which is my go-to: - The drinks have not been up to standard for the last 3-4 visits. My partner always orders the banana bread latte & recently it has come with no syrup or barley any, when the drink was re-made it was fine, but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. - There is always a large queue as of course there is hype around the place and this is no issue, I do not mind waiting. What I do mind is waiting that long and then feeling rushed. Both times I have been recently, I have been moved whilst drinking to accommodate someone else coming in and the table next to me had the same happen to them as soon as they finished eating. The team are eager to snatch drinks away before they are even finished. I understand they have a business to run & they want as many customers in and out as possible but being money hungry= loosing loyal customers that now feel rushed around. It is not customers fault that you do not have the space for everyone waiting and if we must wait 20 minutes for a seat, I would expect to be allowed to at least finish my drink without feeling like I am under pressure. I hate to write a bad review as Rise was my absolute favourite cafe, especially the cinnamon bun latte but for the reasons above, I cannot say that I will be returning. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £20–30
