Found Rouses early in our stay and made it our go to market. Good produce, olive bar, wine and beer selection, meat department and deli. Love their specialty foods, the Buffalo blue cheese spread is the bomb. Staff is helpful and friendly. A bit more expensive than other markets, but worth it.

In my view, the best grocery in Gulf Shores. A personal favorite - the small loaves of bread - chocolate, pumpkin, apple, etc. - that are baked by a local vendor. In the pastry section next to the Rouse's made boxed cookies. And Rouse's own cookies of all sorts are excellent as well.

I love the depth in variety of products they offer though their prices are a little higher. Plus the manager is always on the lookout for locally produced items to add to their shelves: Viper hot sauces, Papa Vince EVOO just to name a couple. They have a very good seafood department - I go there for U12 scallops. Their deli dept carries a lower sodium ham that is excellent and eating it doesn't make my fingers swell. Their house roasted beef with garlic is wonderful for French dip sandwiches. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful since I first explored the store. Rouses has been an great addition to this beach town.
