When they get their steak right, meaning soft, melt in your mouth but still a little charred, its heaven in a bite, but when they screw up they give you rubbery flavorless piece of meat.
I noticed that on those 2 occasions i was served with blah steak- it was when its just their staff left behind and the owners are not there to supervise, so the quality goes down.
I wish they'd improve the quality of their rice. Im picky with the kind of rice that goes with my steak. Think japanese rice - soft, a little moist, and steaming, paired with melt in your mouth, well seasoned tbone, with flavorful gravy (rustic box special sauce) now that would be Yum.
I got their Salt and Pepper Ribeye, medium rarw served with plain rice. I was told that my food should be ready in 10minutes, but it took them more than that. When I saw the plate (or... chopping board I should say), I was kinda disappointed. And, I wasn't given a knife when I got my food. When I asked for one, they said they didn't have knives and they gave me one in plastic just like the ones you'd get for eating pancakes at a fast food joint. Wow.
Bc they gave me a plastic knife, I should expect the meat to feel like butter when I slice through it. But no, it was rubbery, and pretty chewy when I got a bite. They got the medium rare right in some parts but, I saw a lot of the meat was still very red it could still pass as alive. The meal was also served with these grilled beans which aren't necessary at all because it doesn't add value to the dish and, it tasted as if they were just dumped with the meat for 10seconds then served. It tasted like a raw bean. Meh.
It's cheap steak so I wasn't really expecting much. but I was hoping that at least they'll get the cooking right. Oh well.
