I am not one for a review normally unless it blows my mind and this restaurant not only deserves a review but deserves the accolade of my best meal EVER! I love good food, all different cuisines but I can hand on heart say that today’s meal was the best meal I’ve ever had! When I say that I do not say it lightly, we have eaten in Michelin guide restaurants in Sancerre, London and others but tonight’s meal at Ruzzo in New Romney was nothing short of spectacular. A family run restaurant with the Mum as head chef, serving what can only be described as the most perfect home cooked Italian meals I have ever tasted by far. Midway through, we were greeted by the chef, checking in on how we were enjoying our food and I’m pretty sure she witnessed my happy dance before she even got to the table. Anyone and I mean anyone who is looking for an amazing meal, whether you are an Italian lover or not, get yourself down to this beautiful little restaurant with the loveliest of staff and enjoy what will most likely be the greatest meal you’ve ever had! The restaurant is inviting, lovely quietly buzzing atmosphere. The food is delicious, we can recommend the pasta and baked pasta dishes.The Service from Sarris was outstanding. She was smiling and attentive the whole time, nothing was too much trouble. Although she was very busy, she took the time to speak to the engaged couple about their wedding plans, which they were clearly pleased to talk about. The food is to go back for but Sarris definitely enhanced our experience at RUZZO. Thank you Sarris and the chef! We returned to Ruzzo Italian on Saturday for a family meal after a great experience on our last visit and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant was absolutely buzzing with energy, full of diners, and had such a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Even though it was packed, the service was impressively quick, and we were really well looked after throughout the evening. Our server, Enea, was fantastic super friendly and attentive. I have several food allergies, and he went out of his way to make sure everything was safe and suitable for me, which I really appreciated. We were there to celebrate my father’s birthday, and the team even surprised him with a complimentary drink, which was a lovely touch. Little details like that really make a difference. Highly recommend Ruzzo for anyone looking for delicious Italian food, great service, and a warm, vibrant setting. Can’t wait to go back again!
