Came to Rye for a pop-up tasting menu featuring RJ Yoakum, and the whole night was a vibe from start to finish. We arrived early and grabbed pre-dinner cocktails on the patio, which honestly set the tone for the evening. The fire pit tables + evening atmosphere were perfect. We kept it classic with Old Fashioneds and martinis, and both were very well executed. Simple, balanced, and clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. There was also a blueberry graham cracker cocktail (can't remember the name, unfortunately) that was surprisingly delicious and easily could've been dessert in a glass. The tasting itself was an 8-course menu and absolutely incredible. Since this was a one-night pop-up, I won't go into detail on the food, but every course was thoughtful, creative, and genuinely delicious. One of those meals where you're excited for the next plate the second the last one's cleared. Service really stood out. The team was attentive without hovering, cleaned up seamlessly between courses, and made sure our drinks were never empty. They also offered solid wine pairings that complemented the menu really well and elevated the experience overall. One extra thing that really sealed it for me: after dinner, the second chef Taylor and the owner/manager Tanner came over and hung out with us for a bit. As someone who's a bit of a foodie nerd, I genuinely appreciate when chefs and operators take the time to talk food, concepts, and the thought behind the menu. It made the experience feel personal and intentional, not just transactional. If this pop-up is any indication of what Rye is capable of, it's definitely a place worth returning to. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and a team that clearly cares about the experience. Would absolutely come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+
