Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. We ordered the lunch package, which included an alcoholic beverage. We politely asked if this could be replaced with water or juice as we didn’t want alcohol, but were told it wasn’t possible and were forced to take it anyway. Service was extremely slow and lacked initiative. When we asked for gloves to eat our chicken wings, the waitress disappeared for several minutes, returned empty-handed saying only black gloves were available, then left again and came back much later with regular gloves. Simple requests took far too long. The food quality was poor across the board. The mashed potatoes were hard and grainy and more like low quality pounded yam, nothing like mashed potatoes should be. The salmon was extremely dry, overcooked, and inconsistent in temperature. After waiting nearly two hours for our meals, another plate arrived two minutes later with the explanation that “the chef insisted,” which was frustrating rather than reassuring. The chips tasted fishy and were soaked in oil. The braised beef barbecue was cold and appeared to be plain beef drowned in bottled Heinz’s barbecue sauce. The pasta portion was shockingly small considering the long wait time and poor quality. The chicken wings were the only thing we somewhat enjoyed, though even those were average. Due to the experience, we asked to pay only for the items we actually ate. A staff member wearing AirPods while working came to ask what was wrong, but instead of listening, she argued that the service was good. After prolonged discussion, they eventually agreed to let us pay for what we consumed, yet still included the alcoholic drinks we never wanted. It took another 30 minutes just to receive the bill. After we paid, the same staff member returned saying she had forgotten to add the pasta to the receipt. Shortly after, we were accused of taking an eyeliner from the restroom, which was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. At that point, we decided to leave out of frustration. Only then did the manager appear and chase us outside demanding payment for the pasta. Overall, the service was unprofessional, the food was below standard, and the entire experience was stressful.
