We stopped in for drinks and the food looked to so good we had to try! We ordered the Grilled fish collar and the sardine. Both were excellent! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The dishes were all so delicious! The mussels with toast and large shrimp were my absolute favorite. They also offer a variety of delicious desserts and amazing cocktails. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Went for NYE with my wife after booking two months in advance. On the night, I felt sorry for the staff. There clearly wasn’t enough of them working that evening and they were super rushed. We arrived at 20:50 for a 21:00 seating. My wife and I were still outside waited to be seated at 21:40!! We were second to last being seated despite our seat being right behind the lady seating everyone. I think she put us last because we didnt tip upfront (is that a thing at a restaurant as apparently it was here, as we heard it mentioned several times). Never seen anything like it. We then ordered wine which took 45 mins to arrive. The wine we ordered wasn’t available… but it took 45 mins for us to be told that. My wife who doesn’t eat red meat asked in advance to swap the main for a fish alternative, I was served a lovely duck. Her main course… 6 mussels on bread.. we were served bread in the last course as well so this was not ideal. Felt like a dish they made last minute in panic, which is wild considering this is a restaurant which specialises in seafood and fish. One of the desserts didn’t arrive, we were told that there was an issue in the kitchen so it will come later. They completely forgot about it and then just gave us the dessert course we already had again. I think they ran out of the sorbet and had to make something up, was a shame as the couple next to us mentioned it was one of their favourites. We got an apology but this being a special night and spending what we did, not impressed. To make it worse, the NYE countdown then wasn’t announced, we had to do it ourselves with an iPhone alarm! Was very odd. No big countdown, no music, just us and then another table cheering when we started celebrating. No staff input here, the staff were cleaning up at this point, lights fully on. No vibe. To be clear, we asked in advance if Sarde were celebrating at midnight and they said yes. One plus is we did get a mescal shot for free from the barman (who has excellent at cocktails). It’s a big shame as we’ve celebrated NYE in restaurants in London costing considerably less, and the vibe and food was much better. I understand it’s a stressful night, and the staff were lovely but very rushed. I don’t think this is their fault (except the person at the door) and they did apologise at the end but even after their cost reduction it was still very expensive for what we paid for a tasting menu on NYE. I hope they try again next year as I’ve heard such good things about the food, it was just a shame it didn’t happen on the night for us.
