Really lovely friendly service and good food! 4/5 because my favorite dish, butter chicken, unfortunately did not reach the level of the other dishes. I would still go again and choose other main courses. Recommendation for Xacutti - it was really delicious and nan bread was perfect!! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €30–35

Swagat Alvor is an absolute gem! Okay, can we just talk about how good this place is?! Especially when they have a restaurant in portimão and need to maintain same level of quality. The second we walked in, the vibe was so welcoming, like being invited to a friend’s place for dinner. The staff are seriously the sweetest, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Now, the food… WOW.The chicken was so creamy and rich, the biryani had layers of flavor that just kept hitting, and the garlic naan?A taste of heaven. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, like it was made with love (and maybe a little magic). Plus, the portions were huge, no skimping here! The restaurant itself is cozy and stylish, with beautiful Indian decor and these gorgeous paintings on the walls (fun fact: one of the owners’ daughters is the artist—how cool is that?!). It’s the kind of place that feels special but still relaxed. Oh, and they even host events and parties so if you’ve got something to celebrate, you know where to go. Honestly, if you’re in Alvor or Portimão and craving Indian food (or just an amazing meal), run to Swagat. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
