Safeway Store 535. I have receipts documenting every part of this transaction. I returned a container of peanuts because the taste was unacceptable. I paid $5.79, yet the refund issued to me was only $5.49. That is not a mistake — it is a short refund. I didn’t catch it until I reviewed the receipt days later, because I did not expect a store to shave money off a simple return. The employee who processed the refund was Kindsay. He appeared to be a manager, and he already seemed bothered by the return before the transaction even began. The only exchange between us was me asking if he could help me with a return. Despite that, he proceeded to issue a refund that was lower than the amount I paid, and he did so in a way that made it clear he knew exactly what he was doing. This is unacceptable, and I am seriously considering reporting this incident to Consumer Affairs.

if you want to see people play the game of not my job, come to their deli department. not only do they not have chicken available at 9 :30. I stood there for 20 minutes while everyone looked at me and took forever to actually try to come help

You get what you need. They could have more staff around to help customers with questions perhaps but in general prett well stocked up.
