When I moved to Stayton 2 years ago this location was very nice. Produce was good employees were kind, didn't get charged for bags that were worthless. In the last year I have had to go back to get refunds because they overcharge me all the time. Their produce has gone downhill. I don't shop for produce there much anymore. I pay a little bit more and go to Roths. Safeways produce does not last very long, so if you don't plan on using it within a couple of days, don't count on being able to. The employees not all of them but a lot of them are very rude. And you pay for the paper bags that rip by the time you even get to your car but they want to charge you to double bag them. If you're going to charge people for bags, give them a good quality bag that can make it to the car and home. Everyone in the pharmacy is wonderful though no complaints. It would be nice if you would start addressing the rudeness of your employees especially when you get a complaint about them so you do know about it. Everyone always check your receipts. If you shop here because I have had to go back many many times to get my refund and I know other people have to. I actually had a lady behind me in line trying to get a refund for the same reason. I have actually gotten refunds up to $20 that's really a shame to be overcharged that much. I have also called corporate so that they can address these issues. There are not any better you'll be lucky if you get somebody that speaks without broken english. Then, they tell you they'll call you back. And it could be up to a month before you get a phone, call back.And if you are not home to receive the phone call, they won't call you back again. This is absolute bad customer service. I suggest Safeway starts improving all the way around or you will lose customers.That's if you truly care about your customers.

No cashiers, just a snarky lady giving orders at self check out. When asked if any cashiers were open the reply was “just me!” as she then proceeded to just stare at me checking myself out. Awesome experience.

I have been shopping here for years and over the last year or so have gotten to know the community of people who check the Pokémon machines in the area when they can. It used to be fun to see what you might be able to get but recently the store has allowed this kid to gatekeep the machine and camp out at the store for 4-8 hours a day not letting anyone get anywhere near the machine. I also have seen him start confrontations with many people in the community. Just the other day I watched a little girl try to go up and check the machine and he ran up to make sure to get it before her and made her cry. We have never really had issues with the machine being in the store but the management of this location allows this one kid who looks like he has never spent a cent at the store ruin it for customers who buy all of their groceries at this store. It’s a shame the store staff have allowed this guy to create an uncomfortable environment where you don’t even want to shop at the store if you see this kid.
