Alright so I’ve actually eaten here... and it was on purpose. My vegan best friend dragged me out because she had heard so many good reviews. I was hungry. I was not disappointed, actually I was quite pleased. They had such a unique combination of flavours and ingredients that I did walk away satisfied
For a unique Dinner Club experience we visited this vegan food truck at 124 Grand Market. The service was fast and friendly and the food didn't disappoint. A few of us ordered the BLT wrap with the house made vegan coconut bacon and we were all amazed that it was not only tasty but actually had the satisfying texture of bacon, plus the vegan garlic mayo was excellent. Two of us had the Drunkin' Tofu sandwich, and after a bite from my hubby's baguette I can attest that it was tangy and spicy. Two others shared the Chili Lime Tofu Tacos, which they enjoyed and which looked delicious. We all had Curry fries and they were great. All in all, I'd highly recommend this Food Truck to vegans and non-vegans alike.
Serivce: Typical food truck service, friendly, but brisk
Appearance: They need to spruce up their truck. Appears to be clean and organized.
Food: Drunken Chick'N: Fried Lemongrass tofu, chili mayo, cukes, carrot, cilantro, sauteed onion - The tofu was cooked perfectly and had great texture and with the chili mayo it made for good flavor. I could not taste the lemongrass and I could not taste the cilantro. I find too many places do not use enough cilantro and it is so important to the taste profile. The bread was fresh and had good texture and it did not overwhelm the taste profile of the sandwich; they had the right combination of sandwich filling to bread.
