Truly baffled by the good reviews...did we come on the most off night this place has ever had? Stopped by after taking our 5 year-old ice skating for her birthday. She wanted sushi for dinner and this spot had a solid rating and is in a trendy area, so why not? It was under a totally different name on Maps. We walked in to an empty restaurant and were hit with a potent old fried food smell (should have backed out then). The only guy that seemed to be there told us he wasn't cooking any hot food, only prepping sushi. Ok, fine, we came for sushi. By that point we were definitely sus, but I had a very hungry 5 year-old on my hands. Here's what happened next: - We were told that we couldn't order directly from him unless we were paying cash; we had to order pick up from an app and pay on there or pay with Zelle. Odd, but ok, fine. - Rolls came out first and they were small and not great - My husband asked where the bathroom was and the guy seemed blindsided by the question, told him to hang on, and came back to say we couldn't use the bathroom bc his son had made a mess with soap in there earlier...? - We were still waiting on the Nigiri and decided to take it to go and we'd already paid for the whole meal on the app. -There were items missing from our order when we got home. Genuinely wondering if this place is a front? It seemed like he wasn't really up for customers, so whatever is going on, I wish them well, but this is not the way to conduct business. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Dietary restrictions: Does not offer gluten free soy sauce

I dined in at Sakura and had a truly wonderful time. The chef/owner was eager to have us and was very kind. My party and I were unsure what sushi roll to order, so we one by one described to the chef/owner our likes and dislikes & he helped us pick our rolls. The dumplings and sushi were 10/10. The dim lighting also adds to the ambiance & parking was easy to find. I would highly recommend! Give this place a chance :) Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
