Our favorite Asian restaurant in the Columbus area! The hibachi meal options (chicken, steak, filet, shrimp, scallops, and various combinations) are expertly cooked right at your table along with vegetables. All include a delicious light soup and small salad. I recommend their fried rice over white rice, but their yakisoba is also good. They also serve various appetizers including tempura, gyoza, and sushi rolls. Various beverage options; the house plum wine is light and sweet. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Steak, Shrimp Appetizer, Vegetables Fried Rice, Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Your chef will cook the fried rice first (does have eggs, as usual), then veggies, then meats, all on the same grill.

I came in alone as im on a work trip. Host was friendly and so was the server. Most places will not seat just 1 but they did. The cook came out and even it was just 1 adult man did he put on a show still! Food was great service was amazing. One if the better Japanese steakhouse ive been too!! SAKURA Japanese Steak House was an awesome experience from start to finish. The hibachi-style cooking right in front of you makes it fun and engaging without feeling over the top. I ordered the filet mignon (medium), chicken, and lobster — and hands down, the filet was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. Even though the place is big and was very busy, it still felt personal and almost private at our table, which really stood out. Great atmosphere, great food, and a great overall experience.
