Sakura Sushi & Grill is a great place to enjoy fresh sushi and flavorful Japanese cuisine. The menu offers a wide variety of rolls, grilled specialties, and classic favorites, all prepared with quality ingredients. Had dinner August 7,2021 at Sakura’s in Hilo 4:30pm! My wife and her friends had been there before and raved about how good it was, I was there once before COVID-19 epidemic so was cautious this time bc of my underlying conditions! Still I decided to take her out to have a safe fast dinner since it was early, When entering Sakura they did not provide a temperature check, a sign in log but just sat us down in a corner, the place is spacious with lots of tables and notice they sat another couple right behind us, okay but after ordering and getting my first sushi order they seat 6 college kids next to us about a 2feet away on the next table! How do you think I’m feeling now with all the tables available and only the most three or four different parties in the whole restaurant! Couldn’t enjoy my dinner because Covd19 is all time high and no consideration and common sense from this staff or management on people safety or precautions! Paid my bill and told them I’ll never comeback and food is not that exceptional anyway and I still tipped the waitress!!!
