Compared to other places is why giving this rating. 1 major thing that upset me was the cook said something very inappropriate towards my 16yo daughter, told her" to open her sexy mouth". While tossing eggs for her to catch. The steak was thinner than other places maybe why the overall price was less than others . The food overall had good flavor and portions were adequate. I decided to come here on my birthday, after being away for several years. I took a seat at the sushi bar, and started a 2 1/2 hr marathon that was UTTERLY FANTASTIC. The service from the sushi chefs was PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONABLE. I like to have the sushi chef choose how the meal is to go, instead of ordering off the menu. My pictures don't do the taste justice, but you get the idea. I never think about money when I go here, but I had 14 dishes and spent $138. WELL WORTH IT. Now for the normal people prices were between 5.95 to 15.95. I found the overall atmosphere acceptable, but could use updating decor with additional lighting and minimum repairs to furniture. So I had to ding them for that. Now service. The waiter was off his game. He was pleasant, but he would forget about refilling my tea, or checking to see how I was doing. But between the sushi chef and the (I think) part owner who were exceptional, I did have to ding them on points overall. In a nut shell, the overall experience is worth it, the price is reasonable, the product is as fresh as you can get in the Midwest, the service and personality of staff is very good. Hope this review helps you in making your sushi experience top notch. Parking: Door is right off parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: I would consider it very cramped for chairs, and no cut curbs from parking lot. Walkers or canes (which I use) are accessible . If you don't make a reservation for the hibachi grill, don't expect to walk in. If you want hibachi food but not entertainment, then there is no wait for the dining room typically. Take-out was a 20 minute wait with more than 70 people coming in during that time on a busy Friday night not including the phone in orders. This place needs a bigger waiting room! Wheelchair accessibility: Expect a little difficulty getting wheelchairs into the bathroom...
