Really nice café in Point Roberts with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The sandwiches and soups are tasty, and there’s a good selection of baked goods as well. The staff are friendly and the overall vibe is relaxed and comfortable. Definitely a nice spot to stop for coffee, lunch, or something sweet! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Extremely rude staff. Point Roberts and the Saltwater Café live and die by the people who choose to cross the border and patronize these places. Both have been hit hard by Covid and now again with the reduced cross border travel from our trade troubles. I’ve been here many times and try to support small local businesses. I won’t be back again. Three staff and less than six patrons, yet not so much as a greeting on entry or exit. ,Place your order and get told “no”. Not “I’m sorry we’re all out of that, how about these options?” Just repeatedly told “no”. Such a strange thing to hear in a restaurant. Watch other patrons get treated the same way. Watch the staff loudly complain about and make fun of some of those patrons. Run out of eggs, run out of forks, serving stale baked goods and bad coffee-This is not a way for this business to stay in business. Message to Owner/Manager. Don’t take your customers for granted. Tighten up your staffs’ attitude. You have a cute café and used to have good food and decent service. Try hard to get back to that. Don’t be the next business in Point Roberts to close its doors.
