I hadn't been to Samdan in years, and I have to say I'm so glad I returned. The food was absolutely outstanding. I decided to try the lunch special, which included lentil soup, and it was cooked perfectly. It was honestly one of the best lentil soups I've ever had, and I'll definitely be dreaming about it. I also loved the warm bread that was served with high-quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Everything tasted fresh, and you could tell it was prepared with care and attention to detail. For my entrée, I ordered the lamb shish kebab, and it was exceptional. The quality of the meat and the preparation were flawless. My only suggestion would be to serve it with a dipping sauce, such as tzatziki, to complement the dish even further. I finished the meal with a coffee, which was the perfect ending and absolutely delicious. My only complaint is the service. I'm a firm believer that customer service can make or break a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, it took about seven minutes for us to receive water, and throughout the meal the waitstaff didn't seem particularly attentive. To be fair, the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time, so the lack of attention was noticeable. If the service matched the quality of the food, this would easily be a 5-star experience. Because of the service, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars. The food, however, is well worth the visit, and I'll definitely be back. Wow. What an excellent spot for Turkish cuisine. Our server Asli was wonderful and the drinks to the dinner to the dessert were outstanding! Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

From the minute we entered Samdan (which we’ve dined for the last 35+ years) we were warmly greeted by the hostess (Apologies, forgot her name)! We were seated then greeted by our waitress, Eylul; who was friendly and happily took our order. She promptly served Very Colorful and Delicious Food made by the chef. We hadn’t realized that new owners took over a few years ago but that didn’t sway us from Really Enjoying our meal. Between our courses, Eylul Beautifully Replaced used plates w/more Tasty and Inviting looking food! We don’t live locally to Samdan but enjoy the ride getting there as much as we LOVE dining there! Can’t wait to return! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
