Over hyped in my opinion. Yes the ambience is nice and the service is good. All of that is definitely fancy. What could have been better is the food. They definitely have a flair for presentation, but everything we had was just your basic Indian food. Nothing note worthy in my opinion. Same quality and taste of food that you can get at your local Indian restaurant so it's hard to justify the prices they have. I didn't get pictures of the chicken biriyani and butter chicken we ordered.

We went as a group of 5 to see the newest spot on Lake Carolyn and were excited to try upscale Indian Dallas style. We were seated at a table that was much too small for 5 people and the table wobbled (not a great start at this price point) but we were all impressed by the service recovery to fix the table and to send the manager over (unsolicited) to walk us through the menu as to the best dishes to order for our first time. We coursed our food out into two courses (though I think 3 would have been better) and due to the table size, they serve you from the plates directly onto your plate family style. Everything we ate was delicious from the prawns to the paneer to the goat Briyani. Cocktails were also amazing. The price point though is pretty high as our bill came out to $100 a person (we each only had one drink) but we didn't have anything with flashy high-end ingredients (like truffles, uni, steak) that we're used to seeing for that cost. I think this is a great addition to Las Colinas for special occasions and the dining space is absolutely gorgeous. The open kitchen concept is also very cool to watch the breads and kabobs get made. Once they work out the kinks, this could be a true gem.

Price .... walking in I knew it was going to be overpriced BUT proceeded anyway. I do NOT go out much anymore and MUST have missed the fact that 20% gets added period. For a party of 3 really !!! OK lets break down the service 1 is it customary to get water for all on the table and NOT just the one person NOT ordering a mixed drink. 2 Is is customary to clear the table of appetizer dishes and plates FIRST before trying to squeeze entree dishes 3 is it customary to completely miss taking a customer's order? The waiter had to go away to ask about question in the middle of taking the order and TOTALLY missed taking 3rd person's order. 4 it was getting late to place order at 910pm so i was actually amazed how fast entree order came out (10min) 5 you tell me 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 drinks and a water ......close to $300 FOOD 1 again going in you know will NOT be "like home". Different palates thus some like hotter , some like milder ....that is normal at any Indian restaurant. But basic flavour should be there AND to be honest .....just NOT there. There is NOTHING unique about the basic flavour of the food we ordered. 2 ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees and the same in ALL no basic flavour ....heat was lacking BUT i expect that can be tailored to individual tastes. Ambiance .....tops cannot beat . Conclusion Value offcourse NOT BUT i actually knew that walking in Will they succeed .... yes since DFW massive metroplex and thus enough Corp. and regular customers to " try out " place ONE time. I seriously doubt a high percent of repeat business. But then again at end of year there maybe corporations looking for deductions for "business expenses" and Sanjh can certainly help with providing a MASSIVE business expense tax deduction. Continuing along same lines as long as bill can stay below $10,000 that opens up a new crowd ..... if u get my drift
