I have not been happy with their produce for quite a while now and they no longer carry products that I used to buy there. Definitely gone downhill the last few years

The Save Mart in Riverbank & Pelandale Ave. is very clean and organized. Everything is easy to find and placed in the right section. The stores are well maintained and always look neat.

I previously reported a concerning incident involving a cashier at this Save Mart location. Management told me the situation would be handled, which I appreciated at the time. During checkout, a cashier recognized me from a personal situation that happened years ago outside of this store and began speaking to me in a threatening and unprofessional manner while she was on the clock. I was shocked because I was simply there to shop peacefully with my child. What made the situation even more upsetting was that she appeared to signal a male relative to watch/follow me as I was leaving. I did not feel safe in that moment as a mother with my baby. The only time the situation de-escalated was when I pulled out my phone to record, at which point staff suddenly intervened. However, on multiple recent visits, the same employee continues to stare me down and behave in a way that feels intentionally uncomfortable while I am shopping with my baby. I come here just to shop peacefully, and this ongoing tension makes the environment feel unwelcoming. I am not looking for conflict. I simply want to be able to shop without feeling targeted or uneasy. I hope store leadership or corporate can ensure a professional and respectful environment for all customers. The entire staff defending a grown woman who needs therapy instead of a child and mother is just insane. The only person who is always kind is an elderly gentleman working hard here for years as a cashier! God Bless him Also if you see any positive reviews of this place, most likely they were bribed / coerced into giving a positive review. Or they’re doing employees the favor of leaving a positive review.. anything to keep their store open Which is great product selections and products. But it would be nice to have a friendly, helping staff.
