They often have good sales but frequently overcharge at the register (even when digital coupons are clipped and input my #). Many products are expired, and there’s usually only one person at the register (without self checkout). Apart from that it’s a great store with a great deli and friendly staff.

I am not very happy with the app and its effectiveness at savings. I went through the store after going over the app and checking coupons. When you go through the store and see a deal, you think, ok i clipped that, but on reviewing my receipt i see two items that i didnt get the sale on. They were pretty significant. The first, Pureleaf unsweetend tea. 4 pack for 5.98 if you buy 2. So i bought 2. I was charged 9.99 each for a total of 19.98 +crv. Big difference. The second one was Gatorade. 8 pack. The sale 6.99. I was charged 10.99. After shopping at many different grocers over the years and many different club rewards and savings memberships, Save Marts is just not up to standards. Customers who join the membership club should simply be given the sales prices, without having to hunt them down and clip them. Its not the customer who is getting a favor, it is you, simply having someone want to be your customer. In this day and age, businesses seem to forget that. So I am inclined to remind them, when I run across something like this. Treat your customers as you want them to come back and give them insentive. Dump everyone if your DEI hired employees, who greet customers with as much charisma as Eeyore with manic depression. It sure doesnt make one want to return. If I want that type of service, I will go to Walmart where all the employees hand over their souls and any chance at happiness in life for their menial jobs. They arent expected to be customer friendly or helpful, but we understand. But not from Save Mart. Just food for thought. Hope it helps in some team meeting somewhere. It would be nice to get back to the old ways of business. "Hi Mrs Henry! Hows Chuck and the kids? Oh good! Say, we have pork chops on sale this week. I know you like to buy them now and again.." That was what made loyal customers. Not these cold apps that basically say, if you hunt down the sales, follow the path we laid out and jump through a few hoops, we might let you save 60 cents on items you may or may not use. But if you dont, we will charge you full markup. Good luck. Well I for one pass. No more. There are other places to shop.

Absolutely a waste of building they sell hot food but never have it ready or never have it in stock prices are ridiculous these stores need to be shut down... too many stores that are better out there
