Hi! This was at the landing ShareTea branch in Renton, WA. I just wanted to share a disappointing experience. I went to sharetea in the landing today to use a gift card to buy two drinks. When I ordered and tried to use it, I was told that due to a system change, that a gift card can only be used with a manager present. They then told me a manager is not on site right now. 1. Why is there no manager at the branch? Especially if they’re the ONLY people who can process gift card payments? It’s fine that the system has been changed, but it’s not reasonable that my gift card is not being accepted because of that and that a manager is not there to process it as well. The ShareTea gift cards can only be used at one branch and the one I have can only be used at the Renton landing branch. What was the point of me even buying the gift card then?! How am I supposed to time when the manager will be there to be able to use my gift card?? I’ll definitely be telling my friends and family to never buy a gift card from here again. What makes it worse is that the only reason we drove out there in the rain was to use the gift card. It was highly disappointing that we couldn’t even use it and the experience that we had. It makes no sense! Please do better from now on.

While I appreciate them for staying open, I also don’t see enough precautions such as wearing masks for employees, or maintaining social distancing for people in line outside the store. Also, you can’t call ahead of time to order to avoid having a line at the store-number posted on Yelp/Google doesn’t even work.
