Walked in with my work clothes showing the company name and got stalked around the shop by their staff whilst gettting some water and coffee then to top it off doesn't ask me if I have a loyalty card the cashier scanned his own one terrible staff

The Shell station at Maybury and Glasgow Road has become one of my favourite stops in Edinburgh — not just for fuel, but for the genuinely excellent Shell × Co-op collaboration inside. It’s far more than your average service station; it feels like a convenient mini-supermarket that happens to have a forecourt attached. The Co-op store section is bright, spotless, and really well stocked. There’s an impressive range of fresh food, sandwiches, and bakery items, along with loads of snacks, cold drinks, and healthy options that make it easy to grab something tasty on the go. Whether you’re heading home after work or on a long drive, the choice is fantastic — from fresh fruit and salads to indulgent treats like pastries and premium chocolate. The coffee station is a great touch too, perfect for a quick caffeine boost before hitting the road again. I also noticed they carry plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, plus a wide range of Co-op’s own-brand favourites at fair prices. It’s obvious the team keeps everything clean, tidy, and well organised. Staff are always polite and friendly, which really makes a difference. They’re efficient at the tills, but still take the time for a smile or chat — something you don’t see everywhere. Overall, the Shell + Co-op partnership here works brilliantly. It combines great fuel and excellent service with genuinely enjoyable food and drink choices. It’s convenient, modern, and always a pleasure to stop by.
