I had a terrible experience here that was almost identical to what other reviewers have described. A Korean female server handled my bill and immediately became extremely hostile. After she tapped my card, I tried to take it back, but she held onto it and refused to return it, apparently assuming I wasn’t going to leave a tip. I understand that she may have dealt with customers who didn’t tip before, and perhaps that made her defensive. But how is that not disrespectful and unprofessional? After seeing that other customers have had almost the exact same experience, I realized this clearly wasn’t an isolated incident. Her behavior was absolutely ridiculous. I wrote this review for you all guys. You all shouldn't experience the same as me .Me and my friends went to Irvine location .Man !The service was HORRIBLE . At first , they pressured us to order quick before their happy hour comes , second, my friend asked for a new water cup as she found a hair on her water cup, but they never gave her a new water cup and I eventually ended up getting up from my chair and got it by myself from the drink counter where they put all of their drinks, third , I ordered two steamed eggs at the beginning , but the server never put the order in and almost at the end of eating I asked a different server to check, that other server acutally put the order in and I got one steamed egg bowl and forth, when we had nothing left in the plate to grill, we were trying to order more meat to grill , BUT We were told by THE SERVER to eat and finish everything which were on the grill and he said he will take our order after that !! THIS IS RIDICULOUS YOU'LL. They never did just normal basic service like water refill , and all the others sauces refill were needed to ask for them again and again repeatedly, Only so, they will give you refill for the sauces. BUT that server seems to enjoy speaking Korean to Korean customers even he looks like Hispanic as we saw that he was willingly serving and constantly checking on other korean customers's table but not OURS .HAHA Watch out Non-Korean Customers !! You will not get a good service . They should have posted * Korean customers only* On their door. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I usually post about food taste but from the moment I set foot in Shik Do Rak restaurant, I kept being bothered by how poorly maintained this place is. The floor is sticky, the tables hold with box tape, the vents are rusty, the paint is coming off the appliances, the plastic water bottles have being reused so many times there is dirt embedded in the plastic, the cabinets finishing is cracked in so many places, the fake outdoors photo behind the window to give the impression of nature have completely faded away, the bathrooms are dirty... and I can't help to wonder : is the same amount of attention given to the kitchens cleanliness ? The selection in the small plates you are given in the beginning of the meal are încredibly limited; you'd normally see noodles, seaweed salad, etc. but not here. just an overspicy kimchi and pickled radish. The meat is okay. The cooking plate is crooked so juices and sauces only accumulate to one spot... Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
