I may have felt a little overdressed at first as Shish Grill is fairly casual but then I met the food. It was so perfectly dressed and sublimely flavorful that I almost felt like an actual queen on my birthday. I highly recommend dipping French fries into baba ganoush if you haven’t tried it. Even the side salad that came with my entree baptized my mouth with mint and fresh herbs. The rice was a perfect texture and the chicken tawook was so tender I wanted to stand up and make a speech about it. Much to my teenage children’s delight, I refrained. Speaking of, my son absolutely devoured his gyro plate and my daughter demurely delighted in her chicken suvlaki. This place is intimate. You order at the counter. You bump elbows with other diners but in the end you start feeling a little like family. There’s a cozy, rosy cute outdoor patio with starry strands of lights above. Shish Grill was the perfect choice; everyone was happy with their food and that makes me a happy birthday girl. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went here with a group of my friends and we were not disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. This restaurant specializes in Mediterranean food, all of which is halal. I plan on coming here again soon. Wow-kept it simple today: Kufta + Tabouleh plate. And oh my goodness-best Kufta mix and very yummy Tabouleh. I love that they also are Halal and offer a variety of independent cola and soda company options.
