Food is good but a little pricey, need to pay for parking even eating there! Enjoy the scenery. On Saturday night, even not crowded, waiters having hard time to catch on, the need to hire more help! My family and friends had been looking forward to this weekend for a very long time. My son was getting married the next day, and we wanted to have a rehearsal dinner at Shooters on the Waterfront. Unfortunately, due to Covid, my group ended up being reduced to almost 1/4 of the size I had originally planned, however still having a large amount of 25 guests. I had worked with Amanda Saunders at Shooters, planning this event for over 5 months and putting down a large deposit of $250 (the required amount) at that time. As it turned out, I was rather happy my group was not as large as planned. I was extremely disappointed with Shooters. I would never return nor recommend Shooters. Management at this establishment are incompetent and require major adjustment in their attitude and respect for their patrons, especially patrons that would bring in large groups such as mine. After our dinner function ended, I requested my bill so that I could pay and we would be on our way. I waited almost one hour, (yes, I said ONE HOUR - not 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes ...... ONE HOUR) just sitting at our table, waiting to pay and leave. I twice sent the waiter back to see what the problem was... And I went back to the kitchen three times myself. I was told the manager would come to talk to me. Each time no one came. No manager felt it necessary to speak to me. Common courtesy would suggest that at a minimum, someone of authority would come out to speak to me and let me know what the hold up was. Of course, needless to say, after the hour I returned to the kitchen again. This time I was very obviously annoyed and very upset. Instead of a manager speaking to me about the situation, a short blond 'manager' told me I need to get out of the kitchen. Instead of being treated with politeness and respect, this individual treated me as though I had the nerve to want to pay my bill. How dare I bring a group into Shooters and want to pay before I leave. After one hour of waiting, the bill was presented to me and I was told they needed to verify my $250 deposit. Now, I planned this function 5 months in advance, paid a large deposit at that time (the amount they told me was 'required'), and regularly checked in with the establishment prior to the banquet date due to concerns over Covid. No one knew I paid a deposit? .... a deposit I was told was required? It took this establishment one hour to total the bill and figure out how to apply my deposit? And the management was rude to me because I was unhappy with their incompetence. I truly am sorry I booked our event at Shooters, and I feel that if this establishment would like to succeed with the large groups in the future, they need to find replacements for their management team. There are many competent individuals looking for jobs at this time.
