The fries were a tad cold, but that didn't matter much when I bit into the burger. Perfectly grilled patty, fresh veggies, toasted bun all came together for the awesome classic! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Bag of Burgers

First, they tried to charge me over $20 for my combo +extra fries (supposed to be $11) Then, they got my burger order and drink order wrong. Nobody picked up the phone (and no voice mail option) when I repeatedly called the phone number on the receipt. No contact information other than that same phone number on their website. Been coming here for over 20 years. Since 2023 there has been a STEEP fall in entree quality and I'd say about half the time they get the order wrong or over charge. ZERO accountability from employees and NON-EXISTENT communication channels to management/ownership. The fries are still always good is the only reason not one star across the board. This will probably be my last time going. Sad times. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I’ve been coming to Short Stop my whole life, born and raised in Austin, and this location never disappoints. The food is always top tier, but I really want to shout out Anthony. He’s always friendly, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. It’s awesome to see someone young with such a strong work ethic. He really makes the experience better.
