I have little good to say about the food. I had the chicken schnitzel. The chicken was paper thin with a thick crunchy coating on it. The salad was basic and meagre. The coffee was OK. No more than that. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$1–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Popped into shotgun espresso today for the 2nd time as I thought I would try my luck again as my first experience was horrible. Didn’t take long to start seeing the older lady with glasses on the coffee machine start barking out problems to her staff in a very degrading way. ( how anyone works here is beyond me) I ordered avocado on toast for my 2 kids, when the order arrived at our table (40mins later) we were handed 2 slices of toast with 1/4 of a avocado to the side. When I approached the staff member requesting more avocado she came back with 1/4 avocado and said when you leave just pay $4 at the counter for the extra avo. I then said oh don’t worry about then you can take it back and she froze like I just spat in her face. I said are you ok ? She was definitely scared so I said I can take it back if that makes it easier and she said YES PLESE (can obviously tell that the owner is verbally abusive to staff) . So I walked up to the counter and ask the older lady with glasses if I could please return the uneaten avo and she said no you can’t because you have already asked for it. I replied back saying I think four dollars for quarter of an avocado is a bit steep. She said that’s cafe life. Then turn her back on me. It’s not the money that’s the problem/issue it’s the arrogant owner. If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast please don’t waste your time here.
