Stopped by Simpol right next to Menara Alor Setar around 5:30 PM for a coffee break. Was really hoping to try their shio-pan, but unfortunately it was already sold out. Ended up getting the crownies instead, which turned out to be good juga. The coffee was decent too. Quite crowded since it was the weekend, but overall a nice spot. I think they have 3 different counters - for pastries, soft cookies and pizzas. We only went to buy at the pastries area. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Spilling the tea on this pastry spot in Alor Setar! Honestly, this place is easily one of the best pastry spots in town. The variety? Insane. You’ll get dizzy just trying to choose what to eat sebab semua benda nampak tempting gila. The shop vibe is super chill and aesthetic, perfect for your weekend café-hopping session. Just a heads-up though: It can get super crowded sometimes, so you might have to queue or wait a bit for a table. But trust me, the pastries are totally worth the hype. 8/10 would recommend! Cute cafe with variety of pastries!! Rambang mata, I want to order all We ordered; 1. Tiramisu bun - good combo, just a bit too sweet 2. Buttercream monkey bread - nice For takeaway; 1. Salt bread - nice and affordable price 2. Croissant - STAR of the show 3. Quesillo - average 4. Apple crumble - average I highly recommend their croissant!!! It is dense and airy at the same time. As a croissant lover, I approved! Plenty of seatings available, you can order from other shops too Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
